As one of the leading research institutions in the State of Louisiana, research is a major part of the culture and mission of Louisiana Tech University. This shows in our Carnegie Foundation classification as a high research activity research university, and in our status as a respected Tier I university in the U.S. News ranking of National Universities.
The College of Education, is no exception to the culture of research that pervades Louisiana Tech. Our faculty in education, kinesiology, and psychology are all well respected, published researchers. Our students, especially our graduate students, are prodigious researchers in their own rights, as the many student research posters in our hallways demonstrate.
Supporting the mission of research, the College of Education currently has four centers of research: AROS Consulting, the Professional Development and Research Institute on Blindness, the Sport and Movement Science Laboratory, and the Science and Technology Education Center.
