Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership
The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership is a community of researchers and practitioners transforming educational experiences for a better world. We offer a variety of career options for those interested in teaching. Traditional and alternative certification pathways include elementary grades PK-3 and 1-5, secondary grades 6-12, and special education. Faculty members are nationally known for publications, research, presentations, and exemplifying best practices in teaching and learning. All teacher education programs have been approved by the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Board of Regents, and NCATE. Faculty are interested in knowing their advisees and in providing quality counseling as needed for all teacher education candidates.
The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership offers a number of Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral programs. Currently, the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership offers a Masters of Education in Curriculum Instruction and in Educational Leadership. In addition, the Department offers the Ed.D. in Education Leadership with concentrations in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, and Organizational Leadership.

Department of Kinesiology
The mission of the Department of Kinesiology is to prepare practitioners to promote health and wellness through the study and application of scientific principles of physical activity across the lifespan. This is accomplished by providing excellence in instruction, scholarship, and service through a multi-disciplinary approach that includes exercise science, health education, and professional practice. The department offers undergraduate programs in Exercise & Health Promotion and Kinesiology & Health Sciences, as well as graduate programs in Sport & Exercise Psychology and Sports Performance. Additionally, the department provides instruction in lifetime physical activity through a university wide activity program for undergraduate students and an Adult Fitness program for adults aged 55 and older.

Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences
The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences at Louisiana Tech University provides students with a background in both theoretical and applied psychology. Most faculty research interests fall within the following categories:

The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences offers degree programs at all levels. In addition to the undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, the department offers masters degrees in counseling and guidance and industrial-organizational psychology, and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology and industrial-organizational psychology.
