Dr. Christobel Asiedu, an assistant professor of sociology at Louisiana Tech, will discuss “Women and Sustainability in the Developing World” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Wyly Tower Auditorium. Asiedu’s lecture is the first faculty discussion in the Shaping the 21st Century: Stability and Sustainability in a Global Context series and is the last Women’s History Month event. The next faculty speaker event for the Shaping the 21st Century series will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 in Wyly Tower Auditorium. Dr. Jeff Yule, an assistant professor of biology at Tech, will be the guest speaker. Women’s History Month events at Louisiana Tech are made possible by financial and other support from the department of history, Phi Alpha Theta, the Louisiana Endowment of the Humanities, the Student Organization Grant Committee of the Student Government Association, the Association of Women Students, the Friends of the Lincoln Parish Library, and the Louisiana Tech chapter of the National Society for Black Engineers.
