Psychological Services Clinic

The Psychological Services Clinic (PSC) is a training facility for the Counseling Psychology Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Louisiana Tech University’s College of Education and Human Sciences.

All services are provided by doctoral students who have met specified standards of performance and are supervised by licensed psychologists from the Department of Psychology & Behavioral Sciences at Louisiana Tech University.  It is a non-profit organization that offers affordable counseling and assessment services to Northern Louisiana’s school districts and community at large.  The PSC is supported in part by gifts made to Louisiana Tech University Foundation, which are critical to continuing to provide this low-cost benefit to students, their parents, and over-burdened school districts.

It is the mission of the PSC to provide the highest quality training in psychotherapy and assessment for students in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program.  PSC seeks to enhance the psychological, emotional, and interpersonal functioning of the entire community through affordable psychotherapeutic and assessment services.

  • Better adjustment from childhood to adulthood
  • Greater life satisfaction
  • More satisfying relationships

One in four adults (approximately 61.5 million Americans) experience mental illness each year. Approximately 20 percent of youth ages 13-18 experience significant mental illness in a given year.

Over 43 million Americans seek counseling each year in order to improve their mental health.

There are many different types of people who seek counseling for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes it can be hard to find a way out of life’s difficulties or understand your place in the world as a child and the PSC is available to help.
